What are the expectations for this performance task?
Each performance task has a single-point rubric, which lays out the expectations for college-and career-ready performance. This type of rubric allows teachers to provide specific, focused feedback without limiting students’ creativity or putting a ceiling on their achievement. Teachers should share the rubrics with students, and work to develop anchor charts, models, and samples to help them understand the expectations. Two versions of the rubric are provided. The first is designed for use with the Speech Performance Task that is intended to inform; the second is intended for those that persuade or present a specific argument.
