Vicky Kim

Systems Thinker. Community Builder. Design Partner.

Vicky Kim believes powerful systems are built with—not for—communities. As Senior Designer at reDesign, she supports schools and districts in designing for equity, impact, and long-term sustainability.

Antonia Rudenstine

Visionary Designer of Learning. Trusted Partner in Change.

Antonia Rudenstine has spent the past 30 years designing with educators, not just for them. As Founder and Executive Director of reDesign, she partners with schools, systems, and communities to build learning models rooted in competency, community, and critical consciousness.

Her journey began in the classroom, co-authoring U.S. History with her students to reflect the truths of their lives. Since then, she’s helped launch schools, developed curriculum across K–12, and built reDesign into a national thought partner in learner-centered education. Known for her ability to synthesize ideas and build bold, human-centered designs, Antonia supports teams in moving from vision to action—without losing sight of what matters most.

Antonia holds degrees from Oberlin College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She brings deep systems expertise, but it’s her care for people that sets her apart. At her core, she believes that transformational learning experiences should be joyful, rigorous, and rooted in justice.

Want to imagine a new way forward for learning? Antonia would love to dream—and build—alongside you.

Laura Gutmann

Researcher. Storyteller. Equity-Driven Educator.

Laura Gutmann turns research into resonance. As Director of Research & Storytelling at reDesign, she helps translate complex systems into meaningful narratives that fuel change and center learners.

Laura brings more than two decades of experience spanning policy, practice, and pedagogy. She’s led national and international initiatives to advance deeper learning, guided teacher development across contexts, and designed tools to make data feel human and useful. Whether she’s co-designing SEL measures with educators or building open-source assessment resources, her work is rooted in real-world impact.

With a Ph.D. in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill (despite also being a rival Duke grad!) and past roles at the Stanford Center for Assessment, Learning and Equity, the FPG Child Development Center, and as a nonprofit exec, Laura’s career has bridged classrooms and systems. She began as a kindergarten teacher in the Bronx and still leads with that same care and curiosity. Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring nature, cooking something new, or capturing stories with her kids and camera.

Need to make your data sing—or your story stick? Laura’s always up for a good challenge.
